Terms of Service

Effective date: July 13, 2026

1. Agreement to these Terms

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your access to and use of the ForgetME mobile application, the ForgetME website, and related services (together, the “Service”), operated by ForgetME (“we”, “us”, “our”). By creating an account, purchasing a subscription, or otherwise using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

ForgetME is a voice-and-text note-taking application. You can capture notes by voice or text; the Service uses artificial intelligence to transcribe, organize, and structure them, and lets you search and ask questions about your saved notes.

AI-generated transcripts, summaries, and answers may contain errors. The Service is provided for personal note-taking and organization; it is not a substitute for professional, legal, medical, or financial advice, and you should not rely on it as your sole record of critical information.

3. Accounts

You must provide accurate information when creating an account and keep your credentials secure. You are responsible for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old (or the minimum age of digital consent in your country) to use the Service.

4. Plans, subscriptions, and billing

The Service offers a free plan with monthly usage limits and a paid subscription (“ForgetME Pro”) available monthly or yearly. Current pricing is shown on our pricing page. Usage limits and features of each plan may be adjusted as the Service evolves; material changes to a paid plan will be communicated in advance.

Merchant of Record. Purchases are processed by our reseller and merchant of record, Paddle (Paddle.com Market Ltd and/or Paddle Payments Ltd), who handles payment processing, applicable taxes, and billing support. Your purchase is also subject to Paddle’s Buyer Terms. Paddle determines the currency and final price shown at checkout.

Auto-renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period until cancelled. You can cancel at any time via the link in your Paddle receipt email or by contacting support; cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period, and you keep Pro access until then.

Refunds. Refunds are handled as described in our Refund Policy.

5. Your content

You retain ownership of the notes, recordings, and other content you create in the Service (“Your Content”). You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, store, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate and improve the Service — for example, sending an audio recording to our AI processors to produce a transcript. We do not sell Your Content or use it for advertising.

You are responsible for Your Content and must have the necessary rights to it. Do not record other people without consent where consent is required by law.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • use the Service for any unlawful purpose or to store unlawful content;
  • attempt to probe, breach, or circumvent security or usage limits;
  • reverse engineer, resell, or redistribute the Service without permission;
  • abuse “unlimited” features beyond reasonable personal use (a fair-use policy applies);
  • interfere with the operation of the Service or other users’ use of it.

7. Intellectual property

The Service, including its software, design, and branding, is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to our trademarks or branding.

8. Termination

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time from within the app. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, with notice where practicable. Upon account deletion, Your Content is removed as described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Disclaimers

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of AI output, and uninterrupted or error-free operation, to the maximum extent permitted by law.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or revenue, arising from your use of the Service. Our aggregate liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim or USD 50. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including statutory consumer rights in your country of residence.

11. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you through the Service or by email before they take effect. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Mandatory consumer-protection laws of your country of residence remain unaffected.
